The 2nd graders had fun creating habitat playhouses for that correlated with the country mouse/city mouse fable. They used ORGANIC lines and design on the country mouse side and GEOMETRIC lines and design on the city mouse side.
We had lots of donated materials so the students had lots of fun supplies to create their little playhouses. They mde little mice from nuts by adding little tails and eyes. You should see all the different types of furniture they put in their houses.

This activity correlated with a story from the 2nd grade reading basal, so it doubles as a comprehension activity.
